Plants can be grouped by room, making it easier to move through a larger collection without losing your place.
For repeated care, batch logging lets you record the same action for selected plants instead of opening every plant one at a time.

From Settings, you can open The Plant Manual’s public collection of care guides and plant encyclopedia entries in Safari. That keeps the complete guide easy to read, share, bookmark, and find on the web.

Website links can also prepare a plant, care check, or health topic for the app. The app shows that the information came From The Plant Manual website, lets you review every field, and never saves prefilled information automatically.
Simple from the first plant
Getting started takes three steps:
- Add a plant. Only the plant name is required.
- Create a useful check. Choose when the plant should be worth inspecting.
- Record what happened. Mark it all good, log care, add a note or photo, or come back later.
You can add species, rooms, photos, pot measurements, schedules, and deeper history when they become useful. The app does not ask you to complete a long plant profile before you can begin.

The current iPhone version is free and has no plant-count limit. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases in version 1.0.
Do I need an account?
No. Core plant records, care history, schedules, guided health checks, photos, and exports work in local-first mode without an account.

Yes. Search, room grouping, selection, batch care, CSV import, and the current no-plant-limit policy are designed for collections that have outgrown memory or a simple notes list.
Does the app tell me exactly when to water?
No app can know the exact condition of every plant, pot, and home. The Plant Manual reminds you to inspect the plant and lets you record what you actually decide to do.

No. The app and website provide general educational plant-care guidance. Results vary by plant and environment. For concerns involving people, pets, toxicity, allergies, pesticides, or other safety issues, use an appropriate qualified source.
Is it available for Android?
Not yet. The Plant Manual is built on a shared foundation that already supports both platforms, and the Android version is in preparation. It is not on Google Play yet, and we are not announcing a date until it has passed review.
